Furious is good, sundering is worthless in every way.

My opinion would be neither, but...
Furious for an axe warrior is 100 times better than sundering. Even against an extremely well armored opponent, the 10% armor penetration will probably translate into 2-3 points of damage. That's one hit doing an extra 2-3 damage over 10 hits.
At least with furious you can accelerate the use of one of your attack skills, which is the bread and butter of axe warrior's damage potential.

By the way...I didn't give you any alternatives.
To me, vampiric is the most underutilized axe haft out there. People focus on the health advantages of the vamp, but honestly it's the additional 3 points of armor-ingoring damage per hit that has me sold.

Vampiric is better than both.
A 10% chance of getting "+10% Armour Penetration" or "Double Adrenaline" is garbage. If it was 50% chance then I could see how it could be worth it -- as it stands both are extremely s**t.
I've said this before but:
Roll a dice 10 times -- see how many times you land a 3. The odds are terrible ( 1 in 6 ). The odds of you landing a 3 on your die are greater than getting "+10% Penetration" or "Double Adrenaline" ( 1 in 10 ).
If your expecting to turbo-charge your adrenaline gain with Furious -- you'll be sadly dissapointed.
Take the Vamp for 3 extra damage per hit.

Vampiric and Zealous are the best weapon prefixes in the game.

I'm missing why I would probably be using Tiger's fury, or why the -1 degen would be hurting me, but that's beyond the point. Zealous is great on most weapons, excluding hammers.

No doubt about it.
Eonwe, any opinions on suffixes?
I kind of like the 20% to swords/axes/hammers, any estimates to what a lvl 17 attack does vs. a lvl 16 using a sup. rune?

i ALWAYS go with a furious, as that translates into 10% more adrenaline ALWAYS.
(.10*1.0)*100=10%
combine that with battle rage and/or for great justice and adrenaline just keeps flowing in

Vamp is good.. I find it slightly harder to accomdate zealous on a warrior though, especially if you're running any sort of energy based skills. Ideally, the best would be to have one of vamp and zealous, and a furious off-hand on switch, but carrying 3 axes might not be an option for PvP chars, and even in PvE, assembling those 3 axes might be more trouble than its worth.
For suffixes, I generally believe that either +5 or +30 are the only way to go. 20% chance for a +1 is generally quite a waste, since the damage isn't consistent and you lose a great deal from not using the two mentioned above.

For axes I quite like the lengthening deep wound prefix which for some reason I cannot recall the name of right now... cruel?
Suffix I go +5 defense all the time, I don't like reliying on percent chances, they rarely fire and +5 defense can make a big difference over the period of the game... more than 30hps worth of damage which is why I go for that over fortitude

Wait, I don't understand. Zealous gets you more energy, at least if you use it right. (i.e., switch to a non-zealous weapon when you're not hitting people.) It doesn't even do anything if you have no energy-based skills.

i would go with vamp, it's better than sundering hands down.
vs. furious, i have no clue, i just never really liked it. percentage wise 1 hit of adren. per every 10 hit vs. 3 life steal ~1.33 seconds(unless it vs a fleeing opp.) =~21 damage and 14 life gain.

+5 is the best, you take less dmg from warrior always and in the long run taking less dmg is much more useful because with 30 life that's like 2 hits without the +5armor, furious is best since most of your skills are adreneline based that's what you wanna use
